This place is now under new management and boy what a difference. We will be renting from here hopefully every time we are up north. The new owners and staff are kind and down to earth. The shop has has basic items priced fair and reasonably. They have the best price in town for firewood and the canoe deposit is at a fair and reasonable amount. They seem to be really good people. Can't wait to go back!!! - :)
Best canoe rental !! They dropped the canoe at our location and they picked it up as well. Great price and friendly staff.
New owners are very nice! We were tenting near by and wanted some coffee and to ask where a good fishing spot was. This place opens early and has fresh coffee and night crawlers ready to go! We've also rented canoes from them in the past and it's always been a great trip down the river. The new owners are friendly and eager to gain your business. I'd recommend stoping here if you are looking for a relaxing trip down the Au Sable!
out of wood but yet all of the cabins had wood, didn't give us back our deposit on the canoe rental even though our canoe was back by 6pm because the guys missed the take out because the currant was too much and they had to do too much running to make sure that my guys were safe... didn't follow the quiet rule didn't make the drunk people shut up by 10pm... was loud most of the night... very bad experience but river was great....
